Cosmetic and Correctional Nose Surgery

Cosmetic surgery of the nose, also known as rhinoplasty, is focused on improving the shape, size and general appearance of the nose. This is a surgery that is as common in young and old and females as well as males, due to the fact that we have been freed in large part from many social taboos.  We definitely do not have to feel that we have to keep an ugly nose that we have inherited from our parents.  Today, thanks to cosmetic surgery, we are able to change our appearance.

The surgical techniques employed today are very different from those used previously, that is I look for the perfect shape for your nose that is ideally suited for your face, creating a natural and harmonious look, ultimately achieving a shape for your nose, jaw line and the rest of your face that has maximum equilibrium and making you look your best.  In fact, patients who have had cosmetic surgery on their noses should not come out looking like identical twins – this should only occur if the surgeon has not had proper formal training.

Of course, the final result will be oriented toward your ideal of beauty as well, allowing you to choose among many options guided by me in order to achieve the best overall result .

At what age am I eligible for this procedure?

The minimum age is at least 14 or 15 years old, the reason being that the nasal bones continue to grow and develop from infancy through part of adolescence.  In adulthood, there is no limit on age unless there is an anesthetic contraindication.  In fact, on occasion we have done both a nose surgery and a facial rejuvenation procedure at the same time.

I have a problem with breathing properly through my nose.  Am I still eligible for this surgery?

Please don’t worry if you have a functional problem such as this, because this sort of issue can actually be resolved the same day that you have the cosmetic surgery, and you will find that not only do you have a beautiful nose but that you are able to breath well once and for all.
