Who is eligible?

Eligible patients include those that have suffered sun damage, spotting on the face or other skin blemishes such as wrinkles just to mention a few.

How does it work?

It is a rapid procedure that is relatively simple and well-tolerated. The application of the Blue Peel takes approximately 20 minutes in which low concentrations of an acid (Trichloric Acid or TCA) are mixed with a special blue base whose purpose is to reveal adequate penetration of the product in order to remove damaged skin and aging spots on your face or body.  Immediately after the procedure you skin will have a slight blue hue, which generally disappears after 12 to 24 hours.  The dead cells of your skin are replaced with healthy cells, resulting in a brighter skin tone and firmness to any treated areas.

How long is the recovery period?

After the procedure, you may have a little inflammation and even begin to peel in two or three days.  Regardless, this peeling process will be done in 3 to 6 days and will not affect the rhythm of your life for much time unless you decide to slow down for a period of recuperation and recovery.

Are you able to apply makeup after a Blue Peeling?

In order to have a good recovery, makeup should not be applied until after the skin is completely recuperated.

How will my skin look after the recovery period?

After your skin has peeled completely, you will be able to immediately see the changes: your skin will appear younger and smoother with an improved appearance by every standard.  In fact, your skin will continue to improve during the following 4 to 6 weeks, becoming steadily clearer, healthier, smoother, stronger and more firm youthful in appearance.
