Gluteoplasty

Gluteal augmentation surgery

Procedures of gluteal augmentation are accomplished through an implant.  It is important to mention that the implant that is used for gluteal augmentation is not the same as that used for breast augmentation. Below are some of the main differences:

A gluteal implant has the shape of an almond whereas a breast implant is round and is teardrop-shaped (lower profile) or spherical (high profile).  Furthermore, the most recent breast implants have a “biodimensional” shape that continues to shape itself naturally to the woman’s breast.  Of course, none of these uniquely shaped breast implants are designed for use in the buttocks area.

Breast implants can also be filled with differing compounds, including a saline solution, hydrogel, or silicon gel that is either cohesive or non-cohesive. (Cohesive silicon gel is the latest in silicon implant technology because, if the implant somehow ruptures, the contents of the implant will remain in place and will not leak into the surrounding breast tissues.  In contrast, gluteal implants are actually blocks of smooth silicon in the shape of an almond and therefore are unbreakable, which means they can be implanted in the buttocks with no chance of rupture.

Surgery for increasing the size of your calves

This is a procedure performed to enhance the size of your calf. The procedure consists of the placement of implants specially designed to add bulk and definition to your legs. Candidates for calf implants are those patients that have suffered an injury or neurological disease that led to deterioration of the calf muscle or patients with extremely thin legs relative to their hip and thorax.
