How does photoepilation work?

The LHE system works based on the principle of selective photo-thermolysis, but it only uses the light’s heat and energy in order to achieve maximum efficiency.

1. Light from a broad spectrum is applied to the selected area.
2. The light selectively acts upon the melanin of the hair follicle.
3. The thermal energy focused on the skin is conducted through the hair shaft to the temperature necessary for breaking down and coagulating the hair bulb and hair shaft itself.
4. The combined energy of the light and heat results in the ensuing destruction of the hair follicle itself.  Later this destroyed hair is removed by the body’s own natural processes.
5. The result is a long-lasting depilation with skin free from all hair.
